I've been away for a week and had terrible tooth ache, coyld get nothing from nhs there so went to see my dads private dentist who said i needed 2 teeth out, which i did. 1 was a front tooth and he said i'd be better leaving it empty to heal but offered me bridge if i didn't want a gap, which i've got. He said leave it to heal for 3 months then ask my dentist about an inplant.
So 2 questions, first can i claim back the £670 on any insurance policy i might have, my sister mentioned any holiday insurance you sometimes get adddd ontobank accounts? The other question is will my nhs dentist do an inplant or just say i need to stick with the bridge? Or any oyher advice welcome.

I would think it highly unlikely that you'd get anything on travel insurance for dental work. It's usually excluded - but you'll need to read your policy document to be sure (I'm assuming your Dad does not live in the UK?)
The NHS doesn't 'do' implants for anything other than VERY exceptional cases - so if you wanted an implant to replace this tooth it would be a case of saving up for it.How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
