I just came across this FREEPOST address for the service centre of Braun UK, in the community pages, on the Braun UK website.
I have posted my old battery operated Oral B toothbrush to them for recycling. It took me ages to find a postal address so I could return this battery operated toothbrush for recycling, which is why I am posting this information here.
Olympic Shaver Centre Ltd, Phone: 01159-65 7447
Unit 19 & 20
Calverton Business park, Hoyle road, Calverton

I only pay about £20 for my Oral b T/Brushes, so I just buy a new one.
Its the Heads that cost!0 -
If you're handy with a soldering iron you can change the internal battery yourself. I get the impression that Braun toothbrushes are easier to open than Philips ones, but I'd take that as a challenge!
With my own Braun, it was a matter of prying off the ring around the top where the moving shaft emerges, then putting the handle onthe charging base and twisting it anti-clockwise to release the catch. Then you can slide out the whole innards.
Cut the solder tabs off the old battery as near to the battery as you can, then solder the new battery (make sure you get one with solder tabs on) to the old tabs.
There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube and you can get various sizes of replacement toothbrush battery from http://toothbrushbattery.com as they come in different lengths and diameters (check your size before ordering!)
Worth a shot at repairing yours as you can still recycle it even if you mangle it! :j0 -
If I want to recycle anything electrical, I just lob it into the electricals skip at my local council tip. No stamp (but a bit of fuel) needed. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
