Spendy day today, but not too much, under a tenner.

Made some pesto last night, for the first time, and was quite pleased with the results so this afternoon bought some pine nuts and fresh basil to make some more (probably tonight). I put the first batch into an ice cube tray, one tablespoon per ice cube hole, covered with a little oil (stops the basil discolouring and turning the pesto a yucky grey) and clingfilm, into the freezer overnight, then this morning, tipped out the pesto cubes and bagged them up and put them back into the freezer. So now I've got lots of little frozen pesto cubes, one cube for each portion of pasta.:)
