    :hello:

    Hi all NSDers

Well today is not turning out too well LOL. I'm doing a double shift at work (8am-9pm) and overslept this morning  Consequences being I didn't bring any food with me as I just rushed out of the door and also missed a free parking space:mad: So I have had to ask one of the residents to pop out to the shop for me!!
I'm also trying to get my 'vetting' form done and have discovered I need two photos to go with it for the counter signatory to sign :o

Soooooo I have (hopefully) a cunning plan, if I can get out on time tonight I will go to Mr M's on the way home and get photos as it is a spendy day today anyway and also stock up on cat food.

Talking of the cats, 'The Genchling' has discovered how to climb out of the window in the kitchen that Lara goes in and out of ;) but not always how to get back in  I got in last night and she was scrabbling up the back door and looking at me through the glass!!!! I had to open the back door to get her in but she wouldn't let go and was still firmly fixed to it once I got it open:eek:. Hopefully it may stop her for a while, I guess I may need to invest in a cat flap so it is nearer the floor............also think I may have to fast forward the visit to the vets for vaccinations (and I think some flea stuff may be in order too!) Will have to plan for all this:(

Will probably pop in later as I may well be bored stiff by early evening lol

    :hello:

    NSD 1 for yesterday:T

Big spendy day today, though. Food shopping. Just over £50:eek: But that should be just about it for food shopping this month
Had run out of a lot of store cupboard essentials (flour, couscous, rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes) so now fully restocked. Fridge was empty apart from a quarter block of butter, so that is full restocked too. Got loads of eggs now, too - 30 for 1.99:j And bread, 10p whoops from Mr A.

I've also done some menu ideas, and got the ingredients for those too, and plan to do some batch cooking tomorrow, to portion up and freeze, and cook the rest over the next week or so (with leftovers going into the freezer too). I'll be doing a mega-batch of All-Purpose Pasta Sauce (can also be converted into chilli or Morrocan-type sauce) - probably about 10 portions! Plus Slow-Cooker Pizza Sauce (usually get 5-6 portions) and Pesto, both for the freezer. Other recipes include Red Lentil Bolognese, Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli (got a pasta maker cheap on fleabay so am going to try my hand at making my own pasta:)), Veggie Chilli (a Girl Called Jack recipe, using chocolate - yum!), Pea & Courgette Frittata, Pea, Pear & Rocket Soup, and Cheese & Chestnut Mushroom Risotto. (Just noticed that there's a bit of an Italian theme in the recipes.)

  • Travelling home from Skye tomorrow. I am hoping that we get home sharpish and I can do a food shop so that Monday can be my first NSD of August. I will have to wait and see how we feel after a six hour drive though!

I wish I had been organised enough to have something in the freezer for us to eat for dinner when we get home. I must NOT get a takeaway!!:D
  • Three days in. And I have managed to spend each day:eek:.

Thursday we spent the afternoon in the park. Was very good, took dd snack and lots to drink. And her little friend downed one of her drinks:mad:. So had to be a bottle of water (did also by her a ice lolly)

Yesterday drive to swimming because of the rain ( usually walk)so £1 on parking, then lunch with a friend the dinner with the Nct mummy's

To day was a charity shoe spend. £6 on two skirt.

Tomorrow will be a speedy day too, food shopping. L!dl then mr s for everything we couldn't find. Hoping Monday will be my first spend free day.
