Waitrose Entertains???

Has anyone used this service? If so, how was it?

Also, do you think they'd be any good at wedding receptions?

Can't comment on the service but we used their cakes for our wedding and they were lovely

We looked at using waitrose for our wedding reception but decided against it in the end. The pictures in the guide look lovely but the actual items we thought were alittle on the small size or over priced for what there were so got most of ours from about 5 differnt local suppliers but it was manic on the Friday before running round everywhere. We got our cakes from Sainsburys desert counter and I have to say they were fantastic! We ordered 4 whole cheesecakes and 40 odd strawberry tarts and 20 peach melbur tarts and they are all 3 for the price of 2 so the tarts cost 66p each then we made some massive trifles and fruit wedding cakes everyone loved everything. We took everything out of the foil dishes and put on nice cake plates etc and no one knew were anything was from or how much they cost. You can order before and they make them up for you.

I used to work at Waitrose as a patisserie specialist, for 21 years, and I can definately say, they are really nice products, not the cheapest, but service used to be second to none! Good luck hun xx
