Employer pension scheme - contracted out?

Hi all,

Recently joined a new employer. When I've been there for three months I'll be eligible to join the pension scheme which is a stakeholder scheme where the employer will match my payments.

The plan states that "a contracting out certificate is not currently in force in respect of the employees employment". Does this statement confirm that it isn't a contracted out scheme?

It is no longer possible to contract out using a stakeholder pension.
