Wedding insurance that covers pre-existing conditions?

I applied for wedding insurance through E&L and they've said they won't cover the medical condition I mentioned in the application, my dad has a heart condition. Just wondered if this is normal for the insurer and if anyone has found wedding insurance that does cover pre-existing medical problems? Dad hasn't had any heart problems now for a couple of years and he's fine to travel etc, but as he lives far away i'm worried that I could end up cancelling the wedding if he did have another heart attack, as i'd want to be with him!
