I've been offered a job for a fixed term of 12 months, in the first instance. Should I start a pension or just spend the money/save it myself?
Thanks :money:

So, you have identified three options
1 - prepare for retirement (possibly using free money from employer)
2 - spend the money and dont prepare for retirement
3 - save the money via another method.
Which is best for your circumstances? Does the employer pay into the pension? Do you have other retirement provision? Do you want to spend the money? Do you want to save the money?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Personally, if the employer is giving out 'free money' i'd take it.0
