"Should i get that game" thread

I only play xbox, i don't much like xbox reviews on their games as they are biased - so, if i want a game i will ask here and if anyone has it or has played it please let me know what you thought, i don't want to be landed with a game i won't play or find hard to sell again.

I am looking at the following titles for xbox 360, any opinions on them?

Darksiders
Darksiders 2
Space Marine
Homefront
COD Modern Warfare 1 and 2
Assassins creed 3
Gears of War Judgement.

I'd recommend Darksiders and Assassin's Creed 3. Have you ever played an AC game before? If you haven't, definitely get one of the others first. Darksiders is unique - a bit short, but it has rave reviews.

Is there anything in particular that you like in a game? Perhaps then we could tell you whether you'll like any of these.

What is a AC game? I probably have, i have got Skyrim, Oblivion, Gears of War, Fable 3, i like the adventure and shooter games - i will give darksiders a shot then its cheap at £3.

The modern warfare games are super great online. that to me is the bonus of Xbox, playing online!

AC = Assassins Creed,and they are great games I'd also highly recommend them. They follow a story pattern so I like to play them in order, I have them on PS3 though because I got into them before I got an Xbox. I have in story order, one, bloodlines (PSP), two, brotherhood and revelations (collectors edition). I've only played up to two so far, I'll get the others when I've finished the ones I have.

If you like games like the Elder Scrolls (I have Skyrim on all platforms because its awesome , I have Oblivion on PS3 and Morrowind on PC) I'd also recommend Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning, Nier and the Dragon age series. I'd also say the Mass Effect series and possibly Dead Space or Bioshock. Maybe Alan Wake as it has a great story. It was actually the game I got an Xbox for.

Don't know about the others but AC3 is a brilliant game and I would highly recommend it, but like others have said I would start the series from AC1 if you haven't already.
There is nothing negative that I would say about any of the AC games from graphics, gameplay, longevity and keeping interest and not getting bored or frustrated with the game before the end.

Darksiders was a good game never played 2
Spacemarine was ok at best.
Homefront was terrible
Cod are good games IM not too keen on the multiplayer when on my own, otherwise they are good.
Assassins creed is a great series. Try getting the earlier ones as they all tie in to each other.
Haven't played gears judgement. Gears 3 was the end of the gears series for me.

Modern Warfare if you're not going to play them online then don't, campaign is less than 5 hours a pop and there will be limited numbers online these days on those. Assassins Creed is a cracker, different in a good way and well, since AC2 is free on Live for gold members right now it could be a good crack (if you don't have gold Game are currently doing AC2 for £3).

I am an avid gamer and i have played Darksiders on pc - great game, space marine on pc great game ...

just got GOW judgment for my hols in october cant wait
