t-mobile mess up!

i owed £620 to t-mobile. had an on going dispute with them, wrote them letters with no response and pretty much just give up because i didnt want any more defaults on my credit file. i decided to call and offer an amount i could affoard (300-400)
i called them and they told me i only had to pay £370 and the other £250 would be wiped. i was happy with that and then paid the £370.
they then call me back and tell me they was wrong and actually the £250 wont be wiped and i still have to pay it, until i do so i will be defaulted on my file.
i gave them all the money i had so i have no chance of paying it now! im fuming!! what can i do about it? i cant believe they lied to me again, everytime i call them they fill me with lies but this time they have taken my money and not done as they said!
writting them letters does nothing, i was just ignored when i tried before

There was also some downtime yesterday as the forums were upgraded and people were told they'd be back up on Monday, although the work was completed ahead of schedule. Lots of people might not have realised this however.
In answer to your question; you need to make a complaint to T-mobile in writing and then complain to whichever ombudsman covers T-mobile if you don't get a satisfactory response from them. There are two ombudsmans that cover the communication companies.
Did you get it in writing that you'd only have to pay £370? If not, it's likely they will deny saying this and you may struggle to prove it.What will your verse be?

i have contacted cisas and filled in there application form but they emailed saying i have 10 days to submit evidence.
im not sure what they want me to submit because t-mobile never send me anything?0 -
Unfortunately without anything in writing you are going to have an uphill struggle, I know it doesn't help now but this is why whenever people are discussing full and final settlements on here they are advised to get it in writing before paying anything.
I think your only chance is a formal complaint to T-mobile and hope they will write the rest off as a goodwill gesture but i fear this would be unlikely0 -
Why did you dispute the amount in the first place, OP?0

Do you know the name of the person who told you they'd accept the reduced amount or the date you were told this? Any specific information will give your argument more weight. If you know the date, they may be able to obtain a recording of the phone call, for example.
Or if you know the person you spoke to, that person might admit to telling you.
These are both long shots of course, but it would help. If your argument is just that 'somebody at t mobile told me this a while ago' and you have no specific information or corroborating evidence, your argument is unlikely to succeed. What will your verse be?
