    Three shifts, now.

As I was getting my time sheet signed this morning (4 consecutive shifts, Sat pay, Sun pay, Bank Holiday pay and 2.5 hours overtime ), the Boss asked me if I could fit in another shift for September.

    'Course I can!! :D

    I like money. :money:
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Maybe this is a situation where UC will work better than the current system. That way, if the worst should happen, and you have a month with no shifts, your UC payment will be adjusted to cover it.

    In theory.....

Always assuming they ever get it up and running....

And IDS and Co survive the angry Romanian and Bulgarian self employed mob, who don't appreciate him deeming their Big Issue sales to be worth £10k a year (i.e. the Minimum income floor), thus interrupting their lovely jubbly benefits payments......

So late last Monday, I was on the bus home. I had spent the day awake and was wondering about what to do when I got home.

When I got a 'phone call from the boss who was on annual leave.

Could I do a night shift that night? There's no one else, otherwise a 24/7 service would shut down overnight.

So I said 'yes' and went to work a night shift with no sleep. I got a taxi home on Tuesday morning, had about four hours sleep and left to go to work at my permanent job at 3pm.

While it's nice to be needed and the money is going to come in handy, I hope that it doesn't happen too often.....
