Hi all, only 2 week and a day till I say I do and it's suddenly occurred to me that I haven't bought gifts, now due to lots of reasons I have a really tight budget left, practically non exsistent!!
So just looking for ideas as to who you are or have bought for and what you've got them please
My mum and dad have helped us out loads so I've ordered mum flowers, would like to have got more but..., dad haven't a clue, I have an adult and junior bridesmaid, my children are ushers but I've told them I'm doing an IOU, I have 2 friends who've been amazing with supporting me thru stressfull times, do I buy them?
It may be worth me saying that none of hubby to be's family will be there so no need for in law pressies and also he's not havin a best man
Sorry for the rambling essay

Jewellery? Charity donation? Some sort of photo gift? Bottle of their favourite drink? Something home-made? I've seen all of those given.© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.0

Hand made Chocolates went down well at our weddingmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Bottle of their favourite drink is a good one for Dad - not sure where you are but if he drinks whiskey specialist whiskey shops will sell smaller bottles for about a tenner. Or do a joint present for him and your mum of a photo from the day - possibly getting them the frame first and then a note in it saying IOU (although I know some photographers can print photos out on the day so might be worth checking?). Cufflinks - quite a few of the department stores are having sales at the moment so might be worth checking those out, plus he can wear them on the day.
For the bridesmaid and flower girl - jewellery is a good idea, again look in charity shops or you can get some surprisingly nice stuff in places like Accessorize, especially if they like quirkier things (Accessorize also has a decent selection of little girl stuff depending how old your flower girl is). Otherwise, nice bath things/beauty products might be worth a look - if your budget will stretch to it a posh nail polish in a classic colour has gone down well with various friends who've been bridesmaids, and again they can wear it on the day. Finally, when my eldest sister got married she bought all her bridesmaids a little compact mirror each - they were from Monsoon but I don't think they were that expensive, so something like that could work."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -

I would print them vouchers or I OU's, help them when they need you, voucher for cooking, cleaning, babysitting or something tailored to each one, much better thana tacky present that means nothing, or goes in the bin in a few weeks0

We bought my nana a photo frame which I put in a stick drawing of my cousins (who were bridesmaids), my daughter and myself with a caption of "we owe you one photograph of all your grandaughters together" as she has separate photos of us but non of us all together (my cousins live in America). After the wedding we got her a canvas of a photo that I got our photographer to take of us all.
My mum got a bottle of wine (£4) and personalised wine glass (£10 ebay) from eBay plus jewellery to wear.
My dad got a litre bottle of vodka (£16).
My bridesmaids got personalised mirrors (ebay around £8.50) and my flower girl and junior bridesmaids got 2 Shamballa bracelets each off ebay (were about £4 buy one get one free).
The men got personalised hip flasks (£8.50 Ebay).
People who helped out we bought 3 for £10 bottles of wine and gave them one each.0
