Switching mortgage provider

The house we are buying appears to have fallen through. We will have confirmation tomorrow, but it looks like it is being withdrawn from the market. We will need to switch from Halifax to Natiowide to get a decent deal again. We actually had a full mortgage application approved with Halifax. I am wondering how likely it is that this switch will have a massive impact on my credit rating? The mortgage was only just agreed and we haven't found somewhere new yet, but will likely be making another full application within a couple of months of the last. Will this affect things being approved. Good credit rating for me and my partner, but 90% mortgage and I have not been in my job long. Thanks all

  • Losing a £2000 stamp duty incentive and getting a better rate and a £1000 Savetobuy cashback deal. Means we can increase our budget and get somewhere that's not falling to pieces :)

Why do you think you'll lose the stamp duty incentive?

If you simply change properties, you should still have until the drawdown deadline stated on your mortgage offer to complete and still qualify for the incentive.

I've just looked at one of mine and it's 28 February 2014.
