After seeing the forums will be in read tomorrow afternoon I decided to contact the forum team be email and they have agreed to let me set up a small forum with a free provider that we can use for the duration of the downtime of this forum.

I will post the link here in the thread tomorrow morning giving people time to register etc but thought I would post this now just to give people the heads up.
Please could you encourage people to repost any content on the forum once it's available again
Above is a request by them which I am sure you will all be happy to agree with, they will also be removing this thread once this forum is fully functional again.

The forum has the basics we need copied from here and if we stick to the same format etc of posting it will make copying threads across all the more easier.

Think that's it for now, I will update this with the URL tomorrow morning and if the forum mods have any queries I can provide the ticket ID by PM.

    Xmas Saver!
I think it is a waste of every ones time & effort.

If you enter a comp on the temp board how are you going to remember which ones you have entered once they are re posted on here? the only way would be if you make notes of the comps you have entered.

I would never expect the comp posters to do double the work posting all the comps twice

Just sit tight get through the couple of days & pick up from where we leave off

TBH I'm just gonna save everything I enter in a folder and thank/green tick when it's all back again.

Failing that I might just try having a normal life for the weekend :p:rotfl:

  • I agree. It's a nice thought, but so much work and potential confusion for just a weekend without the forum.

I agree that it's a lovely thought but I know that I'll get confused with what comps I've entered when the forum is back to normal.

This is my plan too, I might do the dailies etc which I have on my own spreadsheet anyway but other than that i'm going to forget about it all for a couple days.

I agree, I'm just going to the dailies and magazine comps, otherwise it will get too confusing. Hopefully we will all have lots of WEMS, WTCS AND LWES over the next few days that will keep us occupied :D

That's my plan too. Having said that, I am totally impressed with you coming up with this as a backup plan. You are clearly a genius - and even more of a comp addict than me :D
