Deal Or No Deal Application Process?

So I'm subscribed to the Deal or No Deal newsletter and applied in the last opening to the show.

I had a lady just call me and ask me a few questions.

She asked how did I feel when I got the call?
What I done for a living?
What I would do with £10,000?

A brief conversation then she said to me we have received all the applications and we're going to contact people if they are successful in 2 weeks.

Have I failed at the phone call or is it just protocol?

I just want to know if people think I've still got a shot in the process?

I expected her to give me further details on the process but it felt like a "oh sorry your answers weren't what we wanted, we'll let you know" type thing.

It's just protocol - they'll interview many people over the phone before whittling down the numbers based on your answers, bio and whether you'd be a good fit for the show. When they say they'll get in contact with you, they will - they just have loads of potential contestants to get through. HTH :)

I was on the show in 2008. I had a telephone interview & they told me straight away that they wanted me to audition but they may have changed the way they do things as my sister's boyfriend had the same type of phone call last week & they said they'd be in touch within 3 weeks.

Good luck, hope you manage to get on the show because it really is the most amazing experience & you'll have friends for life as we have an ex contestants reunion every year back in Bristol to meet up with old friends & make new ones

hope you get on it if you want to, we used to do a version of this in my old company as part of the rewards scheme - it was nerve racking enough then (although I haven't seen the TV show)

  • Good luck with it. I applied to be on Deal or No Deal a couple of years ago and didn't get that far. Ive not tried since. Is it worth giving it another go?
