Anyway someone recomended vitamin E oil, but have also been reccomended Bio oil, are they sort of the same thing or is it just a case of trying it out, i want to go with something thats not gonna be too expensive.

    Hi Astomsmummy

Vitimin E is perfect for reducing scars - there is a company called SBC (simply beautiful cosmetics) that produce products just for therapists and professional treatments so their packaging is simple therefore you do not pay for it. 500ml cost about £20 which will last you ages and is brilliant.

Hiya, i had a cyst removed in Feb 2007 from my face. It left a one inch scar on my cheek. I've been using:

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Cream with Vitamin E, Softens & Relieves Rough, Dry Skin.

Helps smooth and blend unattractive marks and scars. Tones skin. It is an excellent all-over-the-body moisturiser and after tanning butter. Recommended for stretch marks, during and after pregnancy.

    £3.19 per 100 g in Boots. It's really helped.

My surgeon recommended anything that contained vitamin E.

Ha, thats the biggest joke of the century, the surgeon, or nurses told me nothing, sent me home with no info or instructions, i kept having to phone them for advice on things.
