Liz Earle Superskin

I opened this up for the first time the other night and it has a funny smell to it. I thought it was supposed to be fragrance free but it smells a bit like a newly painted room. Has it definitely gone off?

Some people swear it smells fishy!!! Others say no smell.
How long have you had it? If in doubt contact Liz Earle customer service.0 -
I've used this cream before when trialling it for beauty bible. I didn't notice a bad smell and thought it was more of a light and sweet scented product when I used it.
I know the cream is somewhere in the £30 range and tbh, if your paying this much for a cream, to expect it to smell like a joy to use is not asking much. I'd take it back asap and make sure the replacement smells the way a product of that price bracket should do.0 -
It is supposed to have no fragrance......
But lots of us would disagree!!
My 1st 50ml pot was fine when I started it but after a while, it STANK.......VERY fishy smell.
I always kept it in a cool dark place so no excuse really.
I sent it back to Liz Earle who denied there was anything wrong with it.......which was madness, because by then the smell was dreadful!!
It put me off using Liz Earle for several years, but I recently got the QVC TSV.....
This superskin smells fine at the moment......but so did the 1st one to begin with :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I actually chucked away a superskin body cream before I got to the end, because that started to smell bad too.......but at least it wasnt FISHY like the moisturiser :mad:0 -

Mine has a fishy smell to it too
I was going to persevere and just put up with the smell but think I might bin it.
Did get in contact with LE to ask about shelf lives as I know I've had it a little while but all they suggested was that as they didn't have me on their records I went back to who I purchased it from (like you a TSV), which obviously isn't too helpful as like I said I bought it a little while ago.
Has made me think I might have to use all my LE before the other stuff I have if it's not lasting that long.Did owe £9,951.96

The use by dates on face creams and other cosmetics is totally stupid.
You get a vague 6/12/18 or 24 months from opening. But who knows how long its sitting in the factory. Since the pots are not air tight this is totally crap. EU made them put use by dates on, so the companies try to be as unhelpful as possible. They should have the date manufactured on the pot to really tell you how old it really is.
Decleor used to it with the oils and balms, example 12/12/12 use by 12/12/13.0 -
Quick update......
My TSV superskin moisturiser is starting to smell fish already
It is ALWAYS kept in the box and also in a cool dark place.
I really like it as a moisturiser but dont think I will get it again.
The smell seems to linger longer on the skin too.....:(:(
