FB Account Disabled ~ Fake Account

Hello There,

I was banned for another 30 days think this is about the 5th time now, but today it has come up with the message Account Disabled ~ Fake Account

Does anyone know of a email address I can contact FB on as I can't find one?

Good luck with finding one - it's almost impossible to contact a "real person" there.

A few years ago I had my one and only facebook profile disabled - because I sent a particularly "mean" message to a 30 year old bloke messaging my 12 year old sister!

Of course, I couldn't get my profile back, he's still on there messaging little girls judging by some comments on his wall and I've lost all the pictures I had on my old profile

Now I know why there are so many fake accounts of FB!

Only trouble is they are asking for photo I.D. I don't have a passport & I don't drive

So I just thought I would update this.

I asked FB what else I could use as I don't drive & don't go abroad. They said any government papers that have your date of birth excluding your birth cert & a photo I.D

I sent a message back saying I will look & see what I can find. They wrote back & said:

Hi,

We can't give you access to this account or take any other action on it because you haven't provided an acceptable ID that matches the information listed on the account.

This account will remain locked as a security precaution. We're sorry for the inconvenience, but this decision is final.

So I sent them the only Photo I.D I have which is a bus pass :rotfl: & a picture of my Council tax.

I have not heard anything back so I sent another message today asking if they have had time to look at my information I sent them

It's looking like a permanent ban because they think I am fake

I don't use facebook any more because they thought I was fake. I do have a driving licence, but was not willing to send a copy to facebook, so I no longer enter facebook comps.

I don't blame you Marg,

It's funny but up until December last year I never won anything from FB & If I was banned then I would say oh well

But Dec I won £250 & this year a designer double bed & mattress & a Fridge Freezer!

Oh well lets hope someone gets a grip over at FB & sorts it's self out. Funny I never had any problems with FB until it was sold!

This is the issue with having so many comps on FB - and I think more will find this out - is that for every repost and share on there it takes up server space and there are plenty of unscroupulous companies who will create fake accounts - like followers that you can get on Twitter - to push their brand/image. This then pushes them higher up the adverts opn your timeline. More people will then view it,see, so they employ bots to create these accounts that will do it for them.


This means that FB has a hard job of deciphering the real ones from the fake ones and people get caught up in the crossfire. Of course, those who just enter anything for the sake of it will be watched a lot closer than ones who pick and choose which comps to enter.

I just dont bother with doing it on FB now. Oh maybe cos I closed it down but if they dont have an online entry form then I dont enter it

Blimey sounds a right nightmare on FB!

They really do need to sort them self's out
