Pullman Loaf Tin

I have one of these (says it is a 1000g so quite long) and I just wanted to recommend it to anyone who either bakes their own bread or attempted to bake their own bread but didn't like the result.

I made a pullman loaf last night using a japenese milk bread recipe I found online. Basically 600g flour, some milk (cannie remember how much to be honest) sugar salt and packet of yeast.

It basically was left to rise in the bowl, then kneaded then put into its tin and left to rise in a warm oven ( as in i had warmed it then left the door open). Then I closed the lid and baked for 45 minutes.

Now when I've baked bread in the bread maker Its nice but it doesn't last and often I think its too heavy for bread.

The loaf that came out of the pullman tin was beautiful. Perfectly square, soft crust like when you buy it from the supermarket and the taste was gorgeous. My other half was skeptical about me baking bread as he wants his bread to be like the supermarket. This was as close as I've ever got to supermarket bread. Obviously I will keep making my rye loafs and my 'artisan bread' but hopefully this will keep the cost down of sandwich bread and also I know what has gone in it! I'm buying a biggggg bag of flour at the weekend from a local mill. Obviously I will need to slice this bread and freeze some but it slices amazing well! YIPPEEEE.

Well worth it in my books.
Money money money.
