Help - declined after AIP - due to probation period in employment

Mortgaged declined today after AIP.
joint mortgage but my partner has a probationary period at work of 6 months (previous continuous employment record no gaps). We were completely up front on application and assured no problem.
But today we received a declined and that was the only reason! Any advice ??:mad:

Some will accept probation periods.

Coventry Building Society - who did originally say it wouldn't be a problem !
Am now trying other lender through our broker (questioning are they any good ?)
it's just sad as we are borrowing well below our affordability and there are no gaps in employment and the recent change was declared - in fact it was a promotion ! just can't believe they can let you down like that after approving in principle.0 -

Here's Coventry BS criteria on probation;-Probationary periods
Where an applicant's current employment is subject to a probationary period, the application may be considered providing:
The applicant has previously been employed in a permanent position for a minimum of 6 months and is now moving to a similar job

sadly i think this was overlooked by our broker - technically we are first time buyers - I have had a mortgage before and we have lived together for years - but the house was only ever in my name alone - not a joint mortgage.0 -
