Halifax stamp duty offer transferable

Hi all
We are meant to be buying a house but the damp is so much more severe than expected we have had to reduce our offer. This means the deal may fall through. We have ended up quibbling over a relatively small amount, but in a rather bizarre impass where the separating couple we are buying from can not finish their argument about whether to accept or not. This has been going on for a week.
As a result we are likely to be looking at other places. We are so far down the process that have a full mortgage offer. This is for Halifax's first time buyer stamp duty paid deal which we got just before it closed. The offer is valid till end of November.
Does anyone know that if the house does fall through, can we trasnfer this deal, or will we lose it? The mortgage advisor and I have been missing eachother for days. Thanks

You can change properties quite easily and retain the product. You'll have to pay another valuation fee and meet the compeltion deadline, though.I am a mortgage broker. Hi thanks for this. Unfortunately computer says no. Apparently we can transfer the mortgage easily enough as you say, but not with the incentive. Luckily we have a savetobuy with Nationwide where we would get a £1000 bonus

Why can't you transfer the incentive?
If you have an application or an offer using the correct product code, there should be no need to pick a different product.

I wondered if you had any luck with this please? I also noticed that if we continue with Halifax we may get our original valuation fee refunded. Does anyone know if this sounds right?Saving for a deposit. £5440 of £11000 saved so far:j0

If I call to ask about something else, I'll ask about this.
I'm sorry, but I'm not spending half an hour or more on hold to an 0845 number unless it's necessary...I am a mortgage broker. Inevitably I will call Halifax about something today, so I will try and ask too.
Just called and a new property means a new product I am afraid.I am a Mortgage Broker

Hmm this gets more and more bizarre. Thanks for checking. However I rang them today. They double checked and told me I could transfer it and seemed surprised at the question. This was following call handler going off to ask. I do have full mortgage offer. I am getting sooooo confused! I even asked them to look up our offer specifically and they said no need to, as long as it's in the time the mortgage offer is valid. I wish they would get their facts straight, as I have gone with it being a yes today!Saving for a deposit. £5440 of £11000 saved so far:j0
