  • Do you have this page MtoM?

I didn't think I would see it last night for cloud, but I looked out of my bedroom window just before it passed and had a good bit of clear sky to the west, and it would have disappeared shortly after passing overhead, which would have been after it passed over my roof.
Tonight will be a great night, weather permitting. What happens when you are able to see the ISS is you see sunlight reflecting off it, so when it's as late as it was last night and it was coming from the direction of the sunset, it went into the earths shadow shortly after going over head. Tonight being 10.13 when it comes in view, it should be seen right from one side of the sky to the other. It is usually about 10 degrees above horizon at least when you first see it, but not many of us can see that low in the skyline anyway. I have been learning loads more over the last few days, and it is fascinating. You may also spot quite a few meteors from the Perseid shower.

Watch tonight in the direction you see the sun set, it should pass pretty much overhead and disappear roughly in the direction you see the sunrise. It is very easy to spot at the moment, at least 2 to 3 times as bright as the brightest star.

Really enjoying looking for ISS and so is OH now :)

We had a brilliant view approx 9.25 pm last night through the breaks in the cloud. Didn't think we would have a chance :)

OH was like it was christmas - he is also like that with thunderstorms, lightening etc etc but I am not ;)

I saw a frown symbol in there a moment ago, but - now - that part of your post seems to have disappeared!

Still having a few gremlins causing disruption, frustration and a bit of amusement too. (Smiling face - dratted thing won't let me do it the easy way. Roll around, roll around - reads rather more boringly than two simple symbols.)

def the Gremlins are playing with us :)

Would you be so kind as to spare me a vote for my photo. :A
I would love to take my mum on a hot air balloon ride and would appreciate all the votes I can get. Many thanks. :)

Also they are giving a free car valet to the first 50 people that enter. There are still another 10 up for grabs. :)

Savvy has managed to create a thread with first page info on. That is if you don't mind waiting and starting the next one tiger once the techie issues are sorted.
