Hi rose, I agree with everyone who has posted, you're doing the right thing by your mum, go with your instincts - and your bro agrees with you which is an advantage. My advice is to get your mum a phone asap, so she can keep in touch with the rest of the family xxx

    Thank you Q of Cheap!

I do appreciate the support. Its been a great help. I've got one more day of freedom tomorrow, then I've got to go to work on Friday. Planning some good shops tomorrow.

If anybody likes Mozzerella, then Galbani Mozzerella is £1.88 in Asda and £1.00 in Sains.

Uncle Ben's rice is still a goer for instance, if you get two for £3.00 in A, its £2.00 in Sains.

Might get some Linda McCartney Mozzerella Burgers (thanks to Witch Hazel), £2.00 in A's and 1.00 in Sains

Also, some Phillipo Berior Extra Virgin olive oil £5.48 in A's and £3.00 in Sains's.

Twinings tea bags, every day, @ £5.00 in A's, and £4.50 in sains

I hope the above gives someone else some ideas for fillers/shopping list essentials.

Haha. I found this thread about 1.5 years ago, and found it fascinating and then forgot about it. Then I came back to it, when the Andrex Fiasco was going on. Was far too scared to post anything of course. Then I decided to start posting early this year. Then I stopped posting, and forgot my password.

But yes, people come and go, and even when you go away for a long time, it doesn't take a long time to catch up. Rather like Corrie wouldn't you say? :T

Down to Clacton Wednesday, cruise from Harwich Friday. Can't wait, Clacton will be bittersweet as I went as a child with mum's best friend who passed away shortly before my mum.

Aww bless ya, I hope you have a super duper time :D
