Well its all going wrong again here. Mum been in hospital for 4 weeks with a broken wrist and not seeing specialist about having plaster removed until 16.8. However they brought her home for a visit last week to see if she could come home and decided she could come home today. I was a bit dubious but my sister from abroad is home till 9.8 and despite my misgivings said she could cope. She also went on and on that it was Mums bday yesterday and it would be nice for her to be at home. So while I was away last week arrangements were made and even though I was dubious and spoke to the OT and ward sister she came home yesterday. However the care she has at home was not put in place till this evening due to hospital not telling social worker about change of date.
Anyway I went there yesterday morning to get a few things ready and had a complete meltdown. I actually called my oldest brother ( who i dont get on with at all) to ask for his help and support and he agreed that she needs to still be in care or hospital at least till the plaster is off ( ot suggested if she could not cope they would do this ). He was a bit off with me to start but I was in such a state crying he backed off and we had a good chat about Mum and he is with me that she either now needs live in help at night ( not me) or needs to go into care.
So I called the social worker who was quite annoyed they sent her home early without letting her know and when I explained she was not really fit to be there she said it happens all the time. I said I would see how she is today and call her to see if she can come by.
She is at risk and I cant be there all the time as I have other things to deal with at home. Am i being mean not letting her be at home?

No you are not being mean.
My mum got sent home too early and I couldnt be around all the time and she had a fall and was dead within a week.
Get her straight back to hospital or into a home.
Sorry to be so blunt but it still grates on me now after 4 years.

    Afternoon all

Back from Drs. Told off for doing too much :o Apparently should be leaving hoovering :D, washing up :D, shopping  etc and just doing what I have to to look after the children. DH came with me so heard about me needing to rest more for himself ;)
She asked me to try antidepressants instead of my amitriptyline so have said i'll give them a shot. Personally I think anyone in my situation would feel a bit down but I'll see how they go.
Have also been referred to the hand surgeon about my carpal tunnel and Macmillan for possible counselling. She was running rather late by the time we left :o

Mrs Moc, petition signed. What an awful thing for you and your DD. Thank goodness you found her x

Well done to Mark and Doogie
Witch Hazel - I got a couple of the white chocolate and cookie stir in things. Were RTC at 25p in my store as BB August. They were yummy but IMO weren't worth the 25p - couldn't believe they were on offer at 4 for £3.50 in the coffee aisle  Literally an ice cube sized piece of chocolate on a spoon!
Hiya Logie. Good that your OH was with you earlier and heard about you resting up. Put them tootsies up and have a drink :A

Oh my goodness Angela. What a dreadful experience for you.. your bluntness is only offering advice and I'm sure it is appreciated.

I'm logging off now. Meeting my pal for a coffee. She is 14 weeks pregnant with triplets and I've not seen her for 5 weeks.. can't wait to see her, I've got a bunch of flowers for her :j

    Back from As.
Couldn't make head or tail of what the offer is with Mullers (there wasn't one in store) so gave them a miss until my next visit :(
Grabbed baby food and some fillers (plus much needed beer :D) results back after 6pm I think.
DD grabbed some wombles and they've generated about £2.50 so all is not lost if the baby food doesn't glitch :)

    Thanks Zippy.....
I'll try to look out over the next couple of nights cloud permitting! It looks like just before 9.30pm thursday is hopeful for me as i'll actually be out driving then bringing my DS home. And another chance little over an hour and a half later and much higher in the sky. It looks like at these times the HTV4 and the ISS will be very close to each other. Are both actually visible with the naked eye? HTV4 docking on the 9th, but not sure what time. Will be interesting if we can see both craft travelling. :D
ive never seen any of the others (not really looked) as they are not as bright. however the iss is easily seen with the naked eye. is the htv4 docking with iss on the 9th then.
