Flea bay is getting worse and worse.
From 4 September, final value fees for all private sellers will change, as well as insertion fees for private sellers with a Basic Shop on eBay.co.uk
Final value fees change for all private sellers
Final value fees will be charged based on the combined value of the item listed plus postage. For example, if an item sells for £20 with postage cost of £4, the final value fee will be charged based on the combined value of £24. This will not apply if the listing offers collection only.0 -

Evening everyone.
I now have a £9.72 BM and 9 boxes of reduced salt Oxo.;);)
To make up the needed £20 l also got 2 packs Plenty Big one with MOCs, and an ES bar of choc with moc, along with a few other sainsburys own items that I always use to make up the difference.
Some oxos, one of the plenty, and the ES will be very useful for a 'New Home' hamper i'm making up for my Nephew and his girlfriend who have had to stretch the budget to the max to buy a house they really wanted. They deserve it as my Nephew has just been promoted to FT assistant manager in a new local store the company he works for has opened, (not T's, lol) and his GF has just got a FT nursing job following passing her degree.
They know I don't have a lot myself, but i think they'll be pleasantly surprised with the goodies they gonna get, and I still have another 4 weeks to add to it.:D:D
Oh... what have you done?:rotfl::D
Up until tonight, I was going to post my results of my yesterday shops then, tonight, I decided not to bother. But now, I've decided to post them after all!
Two perfect shops in my view (well, if you ignore the fact I'm probably paying over the odds on the Broccoli/Carrots after all, as 320g but not wanting to buy Basics Carrots - 1.5 kilograms - after price rise to 92p. Also A's Broccoli 335g Avs T's multibuy, 50p-10% each!:o But, ignore that!)
First shop cost was £22.54 but £2.50 Nectie spend brought it down to £20.04 - just 4p over the BM qualify!:rotfl:BM back for £9.96! And do A's sell any S/P Nice Biscuits or getting 400g Nice Biscuits for 45p? No - they do not!:T:T (So not lost any 10%!)
I know A S/P Red Potatoes are £1.18 (they don't compare to anywhere on APG) but I'm not fond of them - S Basics ones though I like!

I liked one this one, as I put it through the SS, scanning one pack of the Frosties as my first item. Sains £2.29 and A £2.28. Then I scanned another ... and immediately Sains doubled in price and A reduced to £2.00!:rotfl:Much better getting two than one. Good choice (if buying in Sains. already) to buy two!:) Cheaper than the price of one (which of course would not have got me ability to use the Nectie spend and get a BM back).0 -
Second BM shop - lol:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:bill came to £20.05 (every item doing its bit to hold the basket up:T and no extra items bought beyond what was strictly necessary nor any individual items that could have been taken away). BM £9.99:D:rotfl::T.
I'm liking that comparison on the cubes. Eight pounds forty vs somewhat under a pound!

It would have been only £3.09 if I'd have bought the comparable items in A!:) So...there we are..BM - helps you to live well for the same price as it would have been elsewhere (in theory):rotfl::D
[Perhaps in the ads referred to here (except for ad 'e'):
http://www.asa.org.uk/Rulings/Adjudications/2012/10/J-Sainsbury-plc/SHP_ADJ_178870.aspx (point 5 - T's lawyers, it seems, didn't include this in the competitor complaint but a single member of the public picked it up:T).]
Good here to be able to buy vs A, as someone in my house scoffed all the Cadbury's Fudges that I bought last time:(:rotfl:.
Previous shop (where I spent nearly nine pounds on cereals that cost £4.00 elsewhere:rotfl::rotfl:) - they gave me a Nectie coupon. Wanted me to spend £2.50 on cereals for a few pence worth of extra points. Wasn't too happy as it seemed highest priced individual cereal comparing much cheaper was £2.49 in S:mad::mad:.
But...duly obliged and bought £2.49 pack (this time of Cheerios as not already got that, even though lower weight:(:() plus cheapest own brand cereal 31p Basics cornflakes. Cheerios 375g of course £1 in A. (I enjoyed picking the 375g pack up, £2.49 in Sains, whilst deliberately avoiding the 600g pack for £2.29 on the shelf below:D. What a good choice on my part!:rotfl:) In effect £1.31 spend with 75 points (or 37 and a half pence) back. 93.5p for a pack of Cheerios and a pack of cornflakes. No good compared to your 30-odd p ones of a year ago, but sort of okay at the moment:rotfl:. But... £2.49+31p spend = 4 Nectie points, so 2p off = 91.5p. And perhaps recount 1 point when spending the resulting BM (perhaps...:D).
At least I picked up the right pineapples in both these shops - never again will I pick the wrong ones having muchafter picked up the chunk ones on a previous shop (I was lucky they didn't compare to more expensive elsewhere:eek:).
A sell their Steak Slices but not in any of my stores.0 -
