Back from Dentists. Have a very numb mouth and a bit of cotton wool still stuffed in the gap.

Had a really nice lady dentist. She did a filling in one of the teeth and then took the bottom wisdom tooth out that she reckoned was causing the problem. She first took a mini x ray as they already had the big x ray from 7 months ago when this happened. Then she spent over half an hour trying to extract the tooth. It would not come out, so she said it needed surgical removal. So she cut me open (by the way, I didn't feel a thing as they had given me about three injections of whatever they give you to numb).

But unfortunately, she could not get the roots out and they have been left in. She also had to stitch me up and i'm to return on Monday next week to have stitches out.

Never had stitches in my mouth before! I just hope the pain isn't going to be dreadful when anasthetic wears off.

Total cost £165. Not half as bad as I'd thought previously.

So I have had a filling, a tooth out, surgically and I'm sitting here, unable to go out to do any shopping. Thank heavens for this thread as it keeps my mind off things.

P.s. I'm actually quite surprised that all of the above happened. I expected to be sent home with antibiotics and told to come back for an extraction. Oh well. I wish they'd given me antibiotics - but for some reason they did not think I needed them. Fingers crossed for the next few hours.

    Sending you virtual hugs Yoghurt...
I'm very surprised they did this - took the tooth out while you're still swolen and in pain. I bet having the injections was agony!

My dentist gave me the choice to let him try or be referred as the root on the x-ray was a bit curved.
I decided to be referred, as if there's problems they can get it all out in one go and I don't have to go back to get any remainder out.

I'm terrified at the idea of gum cutting though.

another 1.75 lbs off this week - I'm down to 9st10lbs now in real money and I think I prbably shouldn't try to lose more than another 2lbs. I'm never going to be sylph like and I'm aware that, as you get older , its easy to lose so much weight that you start to look scraggy especially around the face and neck. Off to Portugal end of next week though so I'll stick with the fast days till then and will then have a few lbs leeway while I'm away.

I've ound the eating plan fairly easy to do - I tend to stick to the same couple of meal types and don't faff about cooking anything special so I don't have to think about it. The only problem is that I'm sleeping really badly - mainly cos I'm up widdling about 4 times every night !!!

I had lost 7lbs but put a couple back on over this weekend due anniversary. Well done on your weight loss.

I also started the Jessie Wallace aerobic work out this morning and it wasn't too bad so quite enjoyed it and will try to do it daily until holiday and as often as possible after.

Does anyone on here do aerobics, I find it more interesting than running or gym?

    Welcome

You don't ask, you don't get. Give it a go, nothing to lose

(Sorry. Just read you want a discount AND you want to return it? Why not just one or the other?)
I read it as she wants a discount , as only want it for the week end and would then re donate it along with some toys. fair enough to me.

you could always get one bottle, with 6 mini bottles of blossom hill (50p coupons for this), to get 25% off. in tesco

Just got back from tesco I ended up geting this one along with 6 small bottles on blossom hill

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=255245832

I used 6 BH coupons, the SA wouldn't accept them so she called manager over and he said no as well, think he thought I was going to go away, so asked him to check with head office, he came back ten minutes later and accepted them all, along with other tesco coupons.
So I got a £49 shop less multi buys, coupons and 25% off wine and champagne, I paid £29 well pleased as the champagne was £24.89 alone...

Thanks for all your help with this yesterday. Xx. And it came in a box...
glad my suggestion worked for you :)

    Afternoon :)

I don't recommend painting or trying to build flat packs with a hangover. Especially a late onset hangover :o :rotfl::rotfl:

    I felt fine earlier :o

YQ I hope you're feeling OK after your trip to the dentist.

Yes it did and I am really pleased with what I got. Don't really like my tesco as I always have issues with coupons, but it paid off today.

Hoping my friends will like the bottle of champers at the weekend.

    Thanks again xx
We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits. :)
