Back from Dentists. Have a very numb mouth and a bit of cotton wool still stuffed in the gap.
Had a really nice lady dentist. She did a filling in one of the teeth and then took the bottom wisdom tooth out that she reckoned was causing the problem. She first took a mini x ray as they already had the big x ray from 7 months ago when this happened. Then she spent over half an hour trying to extract the tooth. It would not come out, so she said it needed surgical removal. So she cut me open (by the way, I didn't feel a thing as they had given me about three injections of whatever they give you to numb).
But unfortunately, she could not get the roots out and they have been left in. She also had to stitch me up and i'm to return on Monday next week to have stitches out.
Never had stitches in my mouth before! I just hope the pain isn't going to be dreadful when anasthetic wears off.
Total cost £165. Not half as bad as I'd thought previously.
So I have had a filling, a tooth out, surgically and I'm sitting here, unable to go out to do any shopping. Thank heavens for this thread as it keeps my mind off things.
P.s. I'm actually quite surprised that all of the above happened. I expected to be sent home with antibiotics and told to come back for an extraction. Oh well. I wish they'd given me antibiotics - but for some reason they did not think I needed them. Fingers crossed for the next few hours.

Can I ask where you spend the capital bonds vouchers please? I have a couple sat at home doing nothing
Go to capital bonds.com
I don't think you can spend them in supermarkets, but I only looked briefly a few weeks ago. It's mainly high street like Argos, b&q, boots, top shop, American golf, jewellers etc.
Here you go

You don't ask, you don't get. Give it a go, nothing to lose
(Sorry. Just read you want a discount AND you want to return it? Why not just one or the other?)
aau1 I read it as she was going to donate it back on the Monday, not return for a refund:)The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -

I just asked DS what he wanted for lunch - cheese sandwich or tuna and jacket potato. Got told "scrambled eggs". So I'm off to make eggs:DTiger

You're forgiven. :rotfl:
How was centreparcs? My mum told us at the weekend that she wants to pay for us to take our little one there for a week
Any idea where the best prices are?
Hi, aau1... We're regular visitors to centre parcs, although I've never found any discounts, codes etc I do find whinfell in the lakes cheaper than Sherwood in Nottingham... Usually by around £100 per lodge. I also find that the larger the lodge the cheaper it is per family if you don't mind sharing. We tend to book a large 4 bed and share with Grandma/ Grandad and My sis and her family. We went the weekend before Xmas last year. We pre booked a horse and carriage ride and went to see Santa. Absolutely fabulous, fake snow, real reindeers lots of twinkly lights. Present included which was age related, not picked at random. We've booked for Oct this year. Kids love the swimming pool with water slides, rapids... One of the few free activities we spend hours in there. Hth0
