TrulyMadly the swimming pool changing rooms bother me too. I won't let my bare feet touch them. I wear a pair of flip flops right to the edge of the pool and wash them along with my swimming stuff as soon as I get home. I've never worried about what people do in the water (might now though!) but hate it when you see a stray plaster bobbing about *shudder*
