We used to tape the countdown off the radio on a Sunday and put the tape recorder beside the telly on Thursday's when TOTP was on to record it.

We had a double cassette player so I would tape the whole of the charts and then spend ages trying to copy just the songs over :D those blinking djs kept talking over the songs though :rotfl:

You were posh, we just had a single player, but we loved taping the music and listening to it, even though it was really bad quality.

AAU I want to know what your first song purchase was :D I say song purchase because I suspect you may be too young for records :D:rotfl::rotfl:

    I'm guessing Britney Spears :rotfl:

My first trip to the cinema was aged 12 .....to see Superman. Any other decent films I saw before that were courtesy of big Wullie the ice cream man who rented dodgy Beetamax videos if you bought a cone :D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well come on, I have stopped in on a Saturday night just for the music, and there is none left, listened to all the ones I saved while catching up (okay, I skipped one or two ;) )

This was the first film I was allowed to go and see in a real cinema, it was a youthclub trip. We didn't have a cinema in our town so had to go to the big smoke for cinema, it was a big deal. My parents knew nothing about the film nor did they ask but because we were supervised it was ok!
