I've just been reading back and have got to wonder if I'm older than anyone else on here? I know I can't be but I do remember when Asda first opened here many, many years ago.
I used to coupon shop that far back and Asda used to ask you to take any (& I mean ANY!) coupons to CS BEFORE you shopped. They would kindly add them all up - hardly ever refused one & then would give you CASH for them so you could go and shop. There were always quite a few pet ones & I didn't have a pet.

Twas very nice going out of Asda with a bag or 3 of groceries and extra cash in my purse. I seem to remember it might have been when mortgage rates went up to 15% or so and I was struggling - I'm very thankful for coupons!

tbw said that she was 70 years young, if that helps.

OMG! Bought the Meal Deal. SS machine accepted the hot pies coupon but would not accept the others. SA told me it should not have accepted even the hot pies one as it will not work with other offers. Told her I had had an email from my "friend" who said all 3 worked. She got arsey and said that the tills are always right. I asked her to cancel my order but I wanted my £2 coupon back which I had already put into the machine! Another SA tried to help...and they had a row about it...then finally sent it to CS. She was lovely. Scanned the final 2 x £2 off and gave me cash. I could hear the sound of gnashing teeth in the background. Not good for my blood pressure.

I did not get a PP thingy though:o

They are Princes marshmallows 100g scanning at 1p. They are the teeny tiny ones that you stick on your hot choc. They are brilliant for cake decorating as well.
I found mine down the biscuit aisle on clips strips rather than the sweetie aisle or home backing aisle. X
