Try bumblebee auctions - police - usually loads in Newport. Failing that I've a 2nd hand Raleigh about 7 yrs old? that I just can't see me learning to bike on - never ridden a bike but we bought 2 last year as hubby wanted to cycle along canals. He has been laid up since and can't walk let alone cycle. I have bought BIG steadying wheels for it too.

Just looked - none in Newport at moment although some in Avonmouth

can you descibe the steadying wheels please? also how much are they and where do you get them from please. thank you :)

Try searching for local auctions who sell on behalf of police for any unclaimed lost and found bikes?

I know of bumblebee I'll look on there.

Maybe try some of the local cycling club websites as their members somtimes sell bikes that are no longer needed.

Welcome thriftygirl - your day out moneysaving yesterday sounds wonderful. I wish I could have come with you!
tbw and tweets - you both sound so like me your fridge and cupboards overflowing. I too like you can resist giveaway prices. My fridge is so full the door doesn't always shut so I have to check the energy monitor just on the worktop above it to make sure its closed. I am going to have my lunch now to free up a bit of space as I am just off to waitrose for my free coffee and hopefully so reduced stuff later. my work shifts have changed this week and it gets in the way of my shopping - i so wish i didn't have to work even though I only do a couple of shifts. Can't wait to retire with hubby - I will probably drive him made though!

They are HUGE - I bought them online somewhere - cost about £40 - in garage at moment - hidden somewhere by hubby. He's waiting for knee op/replacement? at moment seeing a specialist this week. Depends on the prognosis as to whether I'll sell them or not. I think I'm a bit old to be learning to bike, being honest, as don't want to break anything - think that was why my parents would never let me have a bike! I was always accident prone.

Me again, just ordered some meals out tokens from Tesco clubcard, didn't realise they send them by email now and that you have to present the email - no tokens anymore. I ordered 3 x £20 voucher but they are all on the same email, what if I want to spend only £20 the visit?

    Hey all,
Sorry I'm not about much :(

Just popped on to see if anyone had noticed the hellmans ketchup is good for a PP and a fuel voucher (top down squeezy 750ml one).
£2.49 in Ts vs £1.00 in Ss.

I don't use mayo so I've stocked up on this instead :)
5 bottles gives you 2 fuel vouchers and a PP for £7.45 (costs £12.45)
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
    Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
    Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

What I meant was are there any voucher booklets available - none in my neck of the woods. Have asked at cs & they looked at me as if I was stupid - told me meal deal offers come off at the till! Ours seems to hold onto them until last day or so & then probably try and refuse them!
Haven't found any books with JF in either.

Risca had chefs coupons and tesco mags, cardiff road newport had tesco mags, don't think spytty had any last time i was in.
