Last weekend dd and I helped our friend with a canape party at short notice. The people were having a hog roast for a chaps birthday and also raising money for a little girl who is ill. We did canapes from 1 till 4p.m. and all they drank was champagne. The fridge was packed with Moet, Lanson, Veuve Cliquot Piper Heideck and there were 3 salad drawers packed with even more expensive champagne which we were told not to use. There were about 50 guests and they got through about 50 bottles!! in that time. It was an ordinary 3 bed semi in a ordinary road in a town near me. I was amazed!!
