    Evening guys.

Can i ask you guys a favour please....
We are going to Alton Towers on Tuesday courtesy of the Sun newspaper tickets... :D

Originally because of work commitments we were just going to travel there from Yorkshire on Tuesday morning but we are now able to go tomorrow so could make a break of it and stay over somewhere closer to the theme park.
Does anyone know of anywhere cheap to stay the night please?
I have looked at Travelodge but the cheapest i can find is £42:eek:

Think you prob won't get much cheaper CC as I looked recently for somebody else. You could look at lastminute.com & booking.com but as its fairly last minute TL's prices are always higher. One think that might help is I have a code for £10 if you book TL in the blue section - doesn't work on others.

Did my last two cereal shops tonight 4 value malted wheaties and a bx of tesco fruit and fibre just over £6.00 produces 5p till spit for petrol. Anyway did this shop times 2 but no second petrol coupon. Realised nice young sa hadn't scanned one of my malted wheaties. Off to customer services where received a little trouting. Adamant csa that petrol coupons are not produced on tesco cereal despite the fact that I had received one. She reluctantly refunded them and then rescanned and voila petrol coupon came out of till. She did not want my credit card so I got one pack of cereal for free as well. Every little helps. Why can they never be pleased for you! I think if i worked in tesco I would eb congratulating customers on good shops. [...]

Another mis-informed/mis-informing CS (and are these people supposed to be up a level from the SAs?). They come up with all sorts of incorrect/misleading info. it seems, anything to try to stop you getting what they promised in their promotions:(. Good on you for taking the extra cereal.

Some of it is lack of communication from HOs to the people on the ground who are supposed to be implementing the promotions. Seems left hand doesn't know...etc.

T.com claims: "Spend £6 or more on 'cereals' [my quotation marks] and get a [fuel coupon]." It then has dividers into five sections. The "Top cereal offers" (their description) includes only non-own brand products. But the section they have called "Everyday cereals" includes several own-brand cereals, starting off with T Eday Value Rice Snaps (440g) and continuing. They have only to look at their website and it's there:(. Why the reluctance to refund and then scan them again, this time all of them properly, like they should have done first time? (Albeit that the original SA was nice to you.) Then the system inevitably produces the coupon they (at CS - presumably standing for 'customer lack of service' here) were attempting to deny you.

You should charge them for your time.
