It is still pretty ignorant of her to have her mobile phone on whilst conducting an interview, let alone taking calls, because it shows that she is not treating the candidate with respect, and she is unable to concentrate fully on that task.0 -

Hope it was to the chief executive or equivalent. As suggested the agency won't do a thing as they always have their heads up their clients A***s0 -

These days it's all about business around the globe, and that means being available. All of the time. High salaried people really earn it in today's climate, but unfortunately most people don't see just how much.
Unpalatable but I totally agree. I would also add, though the interviewee may feel smug, those calls often extends into the personal after hours lives of the interviewers.
Business is business, and profit must come first, that is, if you want your new job offer to crystallise a pay cheque.0
