Wii help please

Can anyone help with my Wii problem please.

The machine is about 4 - 5 years old and is played weekly but not fanatically. When I put a disc in it is saying that it cant read it?

It doesn't do it all the time & it's not always the same game. The discs are clean.

Somebody told me to put a cd / dvd cleaner disc through it, i bought one but can't work out how to run it through the machine.

Any help would be great as I'm a bit thick at these things. Or is the machine just at the end of it's life?

There is a Wii cleaner you can buy. It's not a disk, it's a stick that you slide in and move around in the disk slot with some cleaner on it.

Just search Lens Cleaning Kit on Amazon.

Cleaning disks don't tend to work as the Wii doesn't recognise them.

I did think the cleaing disc wasn't right as it didn't do anything.
