I used to play Syndicate a lot on my Amiga many moons ago and same with Syndicate Wars on my PS1. The latter was released in 1997 and the first person shooter spin off they made recently looked horrible so never went for it.
There's a website some of you might have heard of before called Kickstarter where there was a project proposed on it and if it got enough funding (£350,000 minimum) then it goes ahead.
It just got enough funding a few hours ago so should be a new sequel to the proper Syndicate games called Satellite Reign.
If you paid £5000 into funding of the game, the boss would be based on your personality and have your name and you got to meet the developers.
I paid £65 for the honour of being mentioned in the game credits and having a computer controlled random person in the game carry my name. That gives me Alpha access, T shirt and lots of other goodies as well

Yup, Syndicate fan here. Although very good, it was easy to win missions with a single android once you'd got the persuadatron.I have no signature.0

I used to love it on the Amiga too, having hundreds of brainwashed minions running around taking all the hits for me...oh happy days
I don't have money to spare to put into it though lol"Don't blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back. Don't look away. And don't blink. Good Luck" - The Doctor.0 -
I got onto the last level on the Amiga one with no cheats (little silly Island in the middle of the map) and had 1 more enemy to kill. It was a non legit version i had way back then and i eventually lost all my agents to the one enemy in the building. Lost my temper and smashed the diskette to bits and never played it since. I found out later when i bought the legit version i should have just used Self Destruct, but i didn't know about it at the time.
Completed Wars on the PS1 as well with a few friends and a multi tap.
Good to see there's still a few fans kicking about for itAll your base are belong to us.0 -
What an awesome pair of games!
Played Syndicate Wars more, both on PC.
I'm still running it actually and played it a few months ago (on Windows 7 at least, sure it'll work on 8 too). There's a tool you can use to run it from the hard drive and includes bugfixes etc.
Steve-o - if all you think you need is a persuadatron, you didn't get very far in the game!
I'm a bit over halfway through and I THINK I had just got past a ridiculously tough level.
There's a fansite I had been using, it might have been syndicate.lubie.org but I can't check as it's down at the mo, but it had walkthroughs and stuff and all you need to get it running on your PC (if you have the CD of course!).0 -
I preferred the original Syndicate over Syndicate Wars for single player, but a few friends and a multitap on the PS1 and Syndicate Wars was a good laugh. Second last level and last level are absolutely solid. All your base are belong to us.0

Loved the original on the Amiga, the Atlantic Accelerator mission was a right pain mind till you worked out exactly how to do it.0

I finished it. I only used to take one agent too, because you didn't need more than that with the persuadatron.
How did you manage the last level? You can't use the persuadatron to persuade enemy agents unless you have a lot of civillians persuaded already and there are no civillians on the last level. All your base are belong to us.0 -
Are you classing the Atlantic Accelerator as the last mission? If so there was a way you could do it, even with one agent.
It was achieved via the use of the shield, a bomb and some patience.
If this isn't what you are classing as the last level then I dont know!!0 -

I took one agent. Taking any more was pointless. Kind of disappointing.I have no signature.0
