Letter from mortgage company arrived today
They will lend £52,000 with a fee of £1282 on the agreement that the mortgage is recut to 20 years so my total morgage outgoings are broadly flat (actually up £40)
I would then need to pay £495 if I wish to put that part of the mortgaqge on a product or could leave on Standard Variable Rate
decision to be made. Just wish we could borrow less - like 30k and then clear the expensive credit without the 1282 of dead money fee and also ensuring enough big debt to keep us totally focussed (which I genuinely believbe we will)
