Ugh, getting the urge to stop on the way home and buy Runner's World. And then, since I'm already going to the shop, I "need" more tomato puree, and mustard, and I used the last of the baking parchment on Sunday, and, and, and...

    STOP!
    1. Already this evening I am planning on going to running club, playing my new game (present from OH), learning some German and finishing my book. Exactly when would I fit in reading Runner's World?!
    2. I have meal planned for the week so I am NOT doing any more baking, and I don't need to replenish the tomato puree, mustard, golden syrup, salad leaves or anything else I don't have. Sure, the salad would be nice, but I already have a plan.
    3. If I fritter £10 tonight, it means I can't go for coffee with my mum on Saturday. Now what is more important, quality time with the mama or spare golden syrup? :rotfl:
Perhaps I should employ this tactic more often, I now feel it is completely absurd to go to the shop tonight! :money:

I also feel calmer - I'm not piling more things to do on top of an already full schedule!

Today's lunch is brought to me by the yellow sticker section of sainsbug's.

1/2 tub Gl0rious soup (reduced to 59p for the tub)
    Cau!dron falafel (49p)
plus one wrap, a bit of humous and a carrot cut into sticks.

    YUM :D

    Feeling frustrated.

How does one explain to loved ones that you actually would rather stay at home and watch x factor with housemates than drive an hour and a half, stay in a b&b and have to be on Top Sociable Form on a saturday night?

I admit, that does sound a bit loser-ish! However, it is all set to be a very expensive trip for someone who, though lovely, is much closer to the rest of the family than to me.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh why can I never say "no" to my bl**dy mother?!?!
