How long would you wait....

..before you started chasing a company about a prize that hasn't arrived?

I won a DVD and soundtrack 6 weeks ago. I replied the same day with my address for the prize to be sent to.

About a week ago I sent a polite email saying how happy I was to have won and asking if they knew when the prizes would be sent out. As of yet I haven't had a reply.

I don't want to come across as impatient, but equally I wanted to make sure it hadn't been sent and got lost in the post (as I imagine it won't be signed for or anything as it's just a DVD).

So, any thoughts from anyone?

Have you checked the terms and conditions for the competition, to see how long they say it should take?

I usually wait about a month and send an e-mail enquiring about what is happening.

6 weeks seems about right to start chasing. If they don't reply to your email after 2 weeks I would next try posting on their social media if they have any.

I have only ever had one prize arrive within a month. It's such a shame as if you have to chase it kind of takes the magic away

I always wait 6 weeks. I've had a few turn up just a day or two short of 6 weeks. Like today a bottle of whiskey came from Morrisons. I was all set to email them tomorrow, haha
