hello
I hope this is in the correct section, couldn't find anywhere that seemed more approrpriate.
I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a knitting book for the beginner. There are many available but I don't have a decent book shop near to browse. The main criteria is that the pictures which display techniques should be large and clear.
Wonder if anyone could recommend anything?
Thanks

Simple knitting by EriKa Knight is a nice easy book to follow. It gives nice picture, clear instructions, different stitches and some simple projects to make.
It's not as in depth as many but it makes less confusing. Ideal for a beginner.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

you have tinternet so try going on Youtube and look for Knitting tutorials. it is much easier to watch someone actually doing it than trying to work it out from static pictures or drawings. and its free! look for 'casting on' then go from there to Knit stitch and Purl stitch - honestly there is a tutorial for every stitch it seems!0

youtube, pinterest, library and DK are usually a good maker of books. I keep eyeing this one up. http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Knitting-Book-Frederica-Patmore/dp/1405368039/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374625231&sr=8-1&keywords=DK+knittingOpinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0
