I did think about posting this on the 'cheapest batteries' thread in grabbit, but I figure it's on til July and hardly 'cheapest' I'd put it on here.
Energizer Lithium batteries (2 pack AA) are £5.99 each pack BOGOF at Argos. If you think you have used long life batteries, then think again if you havnt tried these. To the best of my knowledge they are the only Lithium AA on the market (please let me know if I'm wrong?) and are a bargain at this price. Many retailers price them at £8.95 per pack!

As well as lasting much longer in use than alkalines, they also work in the cold (down to -40C) AND have a 10 year shelf life. This makes them ideal to stick in a pocket torch that you keep in the car, or by the fusebox, as it will actualy work when you want it to.0
