How long do drinks last?

Hello!

We're not getting married till August 2008, so when can we start buying drinks? I'd probably use a tesco wine deal, so I'm just wondering how long the drinks will last in an unopened bottle, so I know roughly when to start looking out for deals. And does anyone know how long whiskey or spirits last?

It will say on the bottle normally. Wines will last until then an maybe get better - unless they are really cheap - Spirits will last for ages also.

I bought beers from France at the start of the year for a wedding at the start of this Aug - it was a great deal so I kind of had to get them but the date on the bottles is 07/07 - I don't have any worries they will be fine however - they can last a while after the sell by date
