Does anyone know if I can freeze tinned salmon?
I'm needing to find a very low fat meat for my dog and have been struggling except for, typically, very small, very expensive tines
I came across this http://dogcare.dailypuppy.com/homemade-chicken-broth-puppies-2289.html and thought that I could add some extra things in and then freeze in portions for a fraction of the price of the tins TIA

yes, once it's out of the tin it can be frozen.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
Yes, safe. Many people will make salmon/potato cakes for themselves - and make a batch and freeze the batch before cooking .... safe for humans, safe for doggies.0

White fish is lower in fat than salmon which is considered an oily fish

You can buy frozen fillets quite cheaply.
Are you including some red meat too as that is where most of the nutrition dogs need, comes from...Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

tinned fish has mostly been cooked so its perfectly ok to freeze after opening. I do it rather than risk leaving it a little too long in the fridge.0
