Thanks posts

I was just wondering why some members are writing "Thanks" and "Great competition" etc on threads? Do you get permission to post links based on how many posts you make?

I'm just curious really!
Thanks to all posters!

Spammers in waiting (building a post count to add links or just to add some random posts so it looks like they are a "real" member) or people who haven't read the guidelines or know how to use the "thanks" button.

    Take your pick.

Thanks for the reply. I was unaware that post counts enabled you to add links, I figured it was a 'time served' kind of situation. But when I started noticing these posts on almost every comp I was looking at I started to wonder.

Got to love a spammer... :rotfl:
