Hi,

I'm new to comping and this area of the MSE forums and just wanted to say hello. I've had a jolly old day entering competitions and have read the stickies, though still not clear on everything.

I'm struggling with finding the magazine listings? The sticky mentions a menu to the left but I've not found it yet lol:rotfl::rotfl:

I've not won anything before so reading your lists of wins makes it all seem a bit more possible.

Hello, I'm still quite new. been comping since march 2013 so far won £25 gardening vouchers, weekend in wales, tetley teabags, family tickets to an event at dover castle, £5 asda voucher, 3 river island tops, lots of little bits and bobs so I'm addicted now and want to win more lol

Welcome And good luck with your comping. Hope you get lots of wins!!! The magazine listing can be found by typing in Puzzler into the search box (this is how I do it anyway, but I am sure there is an easier way!) or Magazine. It then comes up with a thread for the post. Hope this helps.

It took me a while to get there too, but eventually you will be speeding around the forum

Gorsty15 - Also very impressive! Thanks very much for the tip. I tried typing magazine and it didn't come up with anything but I suspect user error:D I'll have another whirl at it in the morning when I'm fresh.

not sure which magazine listings you mean but if it's the
monthly Take a Break & puzzler.com ones they can be found here..

Regularly updated puzzler.com competitions (Part 4)

you can subscribe to the thread once you've got them located,
ie:

on the green bar where it says
Thread tools
click on thread tools,
click on 'subscribe to this thread'
drop down list will show..
click on
'Instant notification by email'
click on
'Add subscription'

& you'll get notification each time a new comp is
posted in the thread & it will take you straight to
the postings




the weekly magazines are posted as new comps each week
but can be found by search ie: (Take a Break Issue)

I wonder if it's because I'm new? Or the browser i use (chrome)?

hi, no it's not you,
the forum does that sometimes when links have been posted,
it's done it before when I've posted them for others,
anyways,
easy way to find them..
if you go to the search on the comps board
(3rd one down, after
Main site, sub-boards..

Threads in Forum : Competitions Time
Forum Tools Search this Forum

& put them in as I've typed them

ie: Take a Break Issue
etc then search should bring them up for you x
