HELP! Trying to claim on delayed flight...

Hello people! I am desperately trying to claim back money on a flight I took in 2008. It was delayed by more than 24 hours, I have my flight number, I have tried ringing the company in question and they say the flight was delayed but we need our booking reference number. Of course 2008 is a long time ago and they have told me they have shredded all details of my travel. Please help me, what can I do......???????

It has been a long period and there may or may not be a chance of getting them back. you definitely need your reference number. Try it but i guess there are only 5 to 10% chance0

If you can't prove you were on the flight, how would an airline know you weren't making a false claim? If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
