Pressie for hubbie on wedding day

I know strictly speaking this should possibly go on the wedding board but I would love the advice of some of you from here.

I just saw Black Saturn's post about 1977 hamper and thought what a fab idea.

Hubbie to be and I first met September 96.

Do you have any ideas of things I can buy (reasonably priced) that I can make a hamper to give him on the morning of the wedding? (Through SS2b - I’m very superstitious and will be staying at mum's the night before!)

I have bought him a watch with my Goldsmith's clubcard deals and some cufflinks.

I will be getting him some "So you don't get cold feet socks" and some groom undies to go in the hamper.

Any ideas folks?

Thanks in advance as ever!

I did a hamper for my hubby, included was a watch that I had engraved, boxer shorts and wedding socks also some nice cufflinks, some really nice shower gel which went with the aftershave I knew he would be wearing on the day. A mini bottle of spirit for him and the best man, a box of mints, and also a bach rescue remedy from boots just incase.
I also bought him a card telling him how much I love him and couldnt wait to see him.
I got his best man to give this too him in the morning, he loved it!!
    Good luckx

Have a look at wikipedia for 1996 link

and see what you can get from the information in this. This is were I started for putting together the 1977 hamper I'm doing for my husband for his birthday.

How about the single and album that was at number one when you met. You're first dance on CD.

My hubby wrote me a poem on our wedding day, which was so much nicer than any present. If you are any good with that sort of thing you could add one.

    Congratulations and good luck.

  • In my hubbys going away bag - he stayed at his mums..I put a wrist tag in with the registry offices address on and time we were getting married, he thought it was rather amusing...maybe you could pop it into your bed before you leave??

Good luck...most important don't forget to txt/ring him in the morning to say you love him and can't wait!
