Abbey & Nationwide Repayment Mortgages

Two weeks ago in the Sun there was an article about repayment mortgages for Abbey, Nationwide and 1 other bank. It stated that over the last 15 years people had been overcharged and one man had been over charged by £56,000!!! They looked at 30 cases I believe and in EVERY case customers had been overcharged!!! As an Abbey repayment customer, what can we do about this and how do we know if we are paying too much???? 15 years is a long time and we could all be due back thousands if we've been paying too much surely???? Love some help with this!
