Cleaning smoke damaged kitchen
Comments

Went to see my friend last night, and it's not as bad as it could have been: she is working her way through the cleaning slowly and steadily, has been able to make use of a dishwasher to get everything washed up and the curtains and chair covers have been through the washing machine. Upstairs hasn't really been affected, mercifully. She knows she'll need lots of sugar soap for walls and surfaces, and that they'll then have to repaint.Signature removed for peace of mind0

She might want to check all her open packeted foods. Ours were a right off. Smoke got into everything and we lost loads of food.
They 'fogged' our house to get the smell out. Not sure if there is a non-commercial product you can buy that does this but the smoke smell went overnight. Unfortunately the sickly cherry/almond smell I first thought was lovely eventually made us feel sick after a couple of weeks. I gets into EVERYTHING!AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250
