Perhaps the OP can tell us by how much their monthly payment has reduced by? Then we might be able to work out whether this is a reasonable deal.0

The OP still seems to be implying they paid £2600 penalty to get out of fixed rate. Now the drop in their monthly payments with the new fix means they will pay £2800 less over the next 5yrs
So yes, i agree, they have saved £200 lol
